Charlene Evans, spa owner, welcomed me into her salon on Biggar Road. She showed me to a bright treatment area. Charlene will keep the lights on during my treatment so that Charlene can assess my skin accurately before and after the treatment. Charlene and I discussed my skin type and agreed on what I wanted from the facial. She explains that combining active ingredients will reduce redness and have an anti-aging effect.
Before the active phase begins, I cleanse the skin and peel it. This is when my cocktail is infused into the skin via the transdermal portion. This is where the Nobel Prize-winning tech comes in. TransDermalPorationTM Treatments use pulses of low current to open the skin’s pores, called electroporation transiently.
