Both setting sprays, particularly the dewy one, have very short ingredient lists. As I’ve said in previous reviews, I prefer more detailed ingredient lists. According to Jennifer Schwalek, MD, a dermatologist, “the greater chance that you will develop an irritation or allergic contact dermatitis due to one of the ingredients within a product,” I believe a shorter list could indicate that the concentrations are higher. Although these ingredients are supposed to be odorless, I noticed a strong odor of alcohol in them. It doesn’t bother me; I wanted to mention it in case anyone is concerned about alcohol. Other than that, these setting sprays contain niacinamide which I love.

Texture & Finishing

Matte Setting Spray

The texture feels light, watery, and not tacky to me. It is pronounced when you spray it. As with all matte setting sprays, it makes your skin texture more prominent. This is an excellent product for oily skin. It makes my oily areas, my nose and forehead, not shiny or oily and keeps the skin matte.

Dewy Setting Spray

It feels light, fluid, and watery, more watery than the matte, but not tacky or sticky. And unlike the matte, I feel like a thin film is on my skin. After spraying, my skin appears a little ‘wet.’ As it dries, it looks dewy and hydrated. This looks great in the mirror as well as in my selfies. This product is excellent for achieving a glassy skin look. However, others work. It gives me a dewy appearance but not a flawless, poreless, perfect skin look. Don’t expect a glass-skin effect. Dewy? Yes, Glass skin look? If your skin is gorgeous and you’re talented,

The spray nozzle is different from my favorite. Also, I wouldn’t say I like the uneven distribution of particles. It isn’t as good as Urban Decay All Nighter or MAC Fix+. Because the spray feels firm and is not very fine, I must keep it away from my face. The particles are enormous and not at all small. It is better than getting your face wet with water. I’ve tried sprays that are more finely distributed, but I also found less fine bouquets.
