Learn how to apply white winter makeup

We love to use white winter makeup as a way to combat the winter blues. White makeup is a versatile product that can be used for a variety of looks and uses.

White makeup can be used to give your face a brighter look and a more awake appearance. White eyeliner can instantly brighten your eyes. Apply it to your waterline and then a little to the inner corner. White powder with shimmer will highlight your cheekbones.

Try white eye makeup for a bolder and more dramatic look. You don’t want to overdo this, or you will end up looking like an ice Queen rather than a beautiful snow bunny.

Jenna, a graphic designer at LovelySkin, created a simple, white eye makeup that anyone can make.

Cover the entire lid in a silvery eyeshadow. We used Jane Iredale Grey Silk.

With your finger, pat a layer of shimmery loose powder on top of the cream-shadow. For precision and a lighter hand, use your ring fingers. We love Jane Iredale Silver 24K Gold Dust Mini.

Add a white eyeliner swipe to the top of your lashes. We used Stila Smudge Stick Eyeliner Waterproof in Silverdollar.

Use a couple of swipes of your favorite black eyeliner to finish off the look.

If you use shimmery pigments, they can leave traces of glitter behind. Clean up your lids using a cotton bud and a powder brush.

It would be best if you kept your makeup natural when going for a white shimmery eye. Apply a peach-colored blush and light bronzer on your cheeks and clear or sheer gloss on your lips.

White winter makeup is also extremely versatile. White eyeliner can be used to prime your eyes and make brightly colored eyeshadows stand out. Apply a thin layer of white eyeshadow on your lips, then apply a second layer of lipstick.
